 | Wednesday, April 7th, 2027: Irate Valenzuela Suspended 2 Games The Birmingham Barons were officially notified that catcher Manuel Valenzuela had been suspended for an altercation that occurred in yesterday's game with the Lookouts at Birmingham Ballpark. After arguing a called third strike by the plate umpire, an enraged Valenzuela threw his batting helmet toward home after he reached the dugout. That action got him ejected and a 2-game suspension. "I threw the helmet and I shouldn't have. But I don't deserve the suspension. It was a bad call that started this whole mess." |
