Yoni Pinejo was dynamite today and just blew Florida State away in the 7-0 victory. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets starter had everything working as he hurled a 4-hit shutout over the Seminoles, recording 2 strikeouts and 3 walks.
"He was pure nasty out there today. I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing," said the Florida State skipper during his postgame press conference.
In pitching stats this season Pinejo has rung up 6 wins and 7 losses in 14 games. He has an ERA of 2.97 and has fanned 45 batters in 106 innings.

| Friday, September 10th, 2027: Rob Knapp Injured, Out for Season
The doctors have spoken and Rob Knapp of the Florida State Seminoles didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old third baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Knapp sustained his season-ending injury during the LSU Tigers game yesterday at Ballpark of Tallahassee. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing the ball. Today the Florida State medical staff reported Knapp had a torn meniscus and would be absent from the lineup for at least 3-4 weeks.
This year Knapp is hitting at a .381 pace with 34 home runs and 117 RBIs. He has played in 140 games and scored 95 times.
