In the postgame interview he said, "The team didn't do too well today, but it was a good one for me, at least at the plate...5-6...wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average...and my salary, too. But I could do without the losing."

The Los Angeles manager said he could tell right away it was going to be a good game for Ulloa. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," he said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
