| Breaking News | | Sunday, September 5th, 2027: *Brown* Hurls Masterpiece It was a dismal game for the Braves with Kevin *Brown* on the hill. The Chicago (N) starter was in top form and made it a long day for Atlanta with a 8-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 4 hits and piled up 6 strikeouts to pick up the win in a route-going effort.
This season *Brown* has 15 wins and 14 losses and a 4.78 ERA. | | Saturday, June 26th, 2027: Reyes Bangs out 5 Base Hits It seemed that Chicago (N) shortstop Osvaldo Reyes could do no wrong as the Cubs kayoed the Braves 16-1 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Atlanta pitchers couldn't get him out as Reyes seemed to know which pitches they were throwing.
"I think the Cubs were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Atlanta fan.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," exclaimed the jubilant Reyes in the postgame press interview.
O. Reyes doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Reyes is batting .289 with 1 home runs and 30 RBIs this season. | | Friday, June 18th, 2027: Reeves out of Action After injuring himself, Braves second baseman Henry Reeves headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after running the bases and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Reeves will miss at least 2 weeks with a strained quad.
So far in 2027 Reeves is hitting .277 with 5 home runs, 27 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has 83 hits and played in 71 games. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 47-115, .290 PCT | | Position in Division | 4th, 54.0 GB | | Record at home | 30-51, .370 PCT | | Record on the road | 17-64, .210 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 9-5, .643 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 14-17, .452 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 21-31, .404 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 26-84, .236 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 4-6, .400 PCT | | Record in April | 9-17, .346 PCT | | Record in May | 7-22, .241 PCT | | Record in June | 6-20, .231 PCT | | Record in July | 9-17, .346 PCT | | Record in August | 8-20, .286 PCT | | Record in September | 8-19, .296 PCT |
