| Breaking News |  | Friday, August 13th, 2027: Vivas Blanks Knights
Jose Vivas of the Norfolk Tides put the clamps on the opposition and held the Charlotte Knights scoreless in a 3-hit whitewash.
"He's got some good stuff, but we should have done better than that," said the Charlotte skipper after the 14-0 loss.
Vivas was on target most of the game and finished with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk.
So far this year Vivas has compiled a 12-9 record with a 2.99 ERA.

 | Tuesday, July 20th, 2027: Braves Martin No-Hits Tides
It was a terrific day for Bronswell Martin of the Richmond Braves at Richmond Ballpark. He stood out with a fantastic 2-0 no-hitter against the Norfolk Tides.
"I knew I had a No-No going in about the sixth inning, when I noticed no one was talking to me anymore," he said, referring to the time honored superstition of teammates avoiding the pitcher so they won't jinx the no-hitter. "Don't let people fool you. Everybody on the field and in the ballpark knows what's happening. They just pretend they don't."
For the game Martin totaled 2 walks and 8 strikeouts in a very strong outing.
The Richmond pitching coach marveled at his performance, "His mechanics were perfect and I don't think he threw one bad pitch in the whole game. He was that good."
This year Martin has made 19 starts, thrown 122.2 innings, fanned 99 batters and walked 38. His won-lost record is 5-5 with a 3.89 ERA.

| Monday, June 28th, 2027: Norfolk's Magee ILAAA Star of the Week
24-year-old Jeremy Magee sent shock waves through BM Triple A last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the International League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Magee made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .520 average, 13 hits in 25 at-bats, 1 home run and 6 RBI.
Where the Norfolk Tides second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Magee certainly made his mark last week.
Thus far in 2027 Magee is batting .295 with 7 home runs, 53 RBIs and 45 runs scored.
