"It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Toronto first baseman Lou *Gehrig* said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-6 day against the Chicago (A) White Sox at Blue Jays Stadium. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
The Blue Jays had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 19-4.
L. *Gehrig* hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off R. Stackpole in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
Currently *Gehrig* is batting .367 with 12 home runs and 39 RBIs.

 | Sunday, July 4th, 2027: Bast Stops Kansas City
Tod Bast had an impressive outing today. He hurled the Chicago (A) White Sox to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Kansas City Royals, yielding 2 hits with 6 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," the Kansas City skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
Thus far this season, Bast has worked 120.2 innings with 69 strikeouts en route to a 5-5 record and a 5.22 ERA.

Most fans have never seen a player get a single, double, triple and home run all in one game -- but it happened today at Lloyd Street Grounds. Ralph *Kiner* of the Milwaukee Brewers hit for the cycle against Chicago (A). He went 4-4 in the 9-8 victory, scored 2 runs and had 3 runs batted in. It was a day to remember for both *Kiner* and the fans.
R. *Kiner* walked in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off H. *Fujimoto* in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
In 2027 *Kiner* has produced 94 hits in 297 at-bats for a .316 average with 22 home runs and gotten on base at a .400 clip.
