The Mets scored 3 runs in the 2nd, capped by Gregg Jefferies 2-run double. Overall, Johnson allowed 7 runs on 9 hits in just 5 innings. Johnson did show flashes of greatness, striking out 7. Meanwhile, Frank Viola pitched a complete game, allowing just 2 runs on 6 hits to earn the win. Jay Bell made two errors, but neither of them cost the Diamondbacks any runs. Arizona will look to bounce back at Shea Stadium tomorrow.
