Houston Snaps Skid, Dizzy Dazzles
The Houston Hoots snapped a 7-game losing streak, topping the Los Angeles Dynamos 7-1. Houston starter Dizzy Dean took a shutout into the 9th before LA’s Frank Robinson’s single drove in Eddie Mathews. Jeff Bagwell got the Houston offense going in the 1st with an RBI double. He’s now hitting .385. LA’s Jim Bunning allowed all 7 runs in the loss. Tom Glavine stuck out 6 and allowed just 2 hits in relief for the Dynamos, who are now 5-5.
