Stan Musial got the St. Louis Wizards on the board early, helping them to a 3-run 1st with his league-leading 14th home run. But the Los Angeles Dynamos took advantage of sloppy play to score 4 runs in the bottom of the inning. Robin Roberts allowed 7 runs to LA in his 5 innings and the Dynamos went on to win it 9-5. Dynamos starter Pete Alexander improved to 3-0, despite allowing 5 runs in 8 innings. LA’s Chuck Klein led the offense, going 2 for 4 with a double, a homer, and 3 RBI. LA needed the win after dropping the first two games to the Wizards at home. They are 3 games back in the National League.
